Accessibility
statement.

A web that's usable by everyone is a web that's usable for our work. Here's the approach we take, the tools we use, and how to reach us when we get it wrong.

Last reviewed — May 17, 2026

Our commitment.

DAB Consulting is committed to making this site accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies — screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control, and similar tools. Accessibility is part of how we evaluate our own deliverables, and we hold this site to the same standard.

Standard we target.

We design and develop with the goal of meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is the international standard maintained by the W3C and is the standard most commonly cited in U.S. and international accessibility regulations.

accessWidget by accessiBe.

This site uses accessWidget by accessiBe — an accessibility interface and AI-powered remediation tool — to make the site more usable for visitors with a wide range of needs. The widget is available on every page of the site.

How to open it

Look for the accessibility icon (a person inside a circle) in the lower corner of any page. Click or tap it to open the accessibility menu.

What it offers

  • Profiles — one-click presets for common needs: Seizure Safe, Vision Impaired, ADHD-Friendly, Cognitive Disability, Keyboard Navigation, and Blind Users (Screen Reader)
  • Content adjustments — text size, font, letter spacing, line height, alignment, and a dyslexia-friendly font
  • Color adjustments — dark/light contrast, monochrome, low/high saturation, and custom color controls for text, titles, and backgrounds
  • Orientation tools — reading mask, reading guide, content highlighting, link emphasis, image-description triggers, and a virtual keyboard
  • Screen reader optimization — runtime ARIA adjustments aimed at improving compatibility with screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver

How it works behind the scenes

accessWidget scans the site's pages and, where appropriate, applies ARIA attributes, alt-text suggestions, keyboard-trap fixes, and other adjustments in real time to improve assistive-technology compatibility. The visitor-facing menu lets each person tune the interface to their own needs without changing what other visitors see.

What we do beyond the widget.

An accessibility widget is a complement to good baseline design, not a substitute for it. The site itself is built with accessibility in mind:

  • Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and meaningful element types instead of styled divs where it matters
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable from the keyboard, with visible focus indicators
  • Color contrast — body text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds
  • Alternative text — meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as decorative so screen readers skip them
  • Form labels — every form input has an associated visible label, with error messages tied to the field they describe
  • Resizable text — content remains readable when text is enlarged up to 200% in the browser
  • No content that flashes — we avoid animations and patterns that could trigger seizures or vestibular reactions

Known limitations.

We try to be honest about gaps rather than claim conformance we haven't verified.

  • No tool — including accessWidget — automatically guarantees full WCAG conformance. The widget handles many runtime adjustments, but some accessibility decisions live in the underlying design and content
  • The contact form is provided by a third-party plugin (Gravity Forms). We've styled it to meet our accessibility targets, but the underlying markup is partly controlled by the plugin
  • Embedded third-party content (maps, videos if added later) may not fully meet WCAG AA. Where this is the case, we provide alternative ways to access the same information
  • The site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility consultant. We plan to conduct that audit and will update this statement with the results

Found something

If you've run into a barrier on this site — a page that doesn't work with your screen reader, a control you couldn't reach by keyboard, contrast that's too low, copy that's unclear — we want to know, whether the accessibility widget is on or off. We treat accessibility issues as bugs. Email sales@dabconsulting.com with as much detail as you can share (the page, the assistive tech you're using, what you expected, what happened). We aim to respond within two business days.

Assistive technology compatibility.

With the accessWidget enabled and our underlying markup, this site is built to work with current versions of common assistive technologies, including:

  • JAWS and NVDA (Windows screen readers)
  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
  • TalkBack (Android)
  • Dragon NaturallySpeaking (voice control)
  • Built-in browser zoom and high-contrast modes

If you use an assistive technology not listed above and have run into trouble, please tell us — we'll work to get it right.

Continuous improvement.

Accessibility isn't a one-time project. accessWidget re-scans the site on a regular cycle, and we review accessibility as part of normal site maintenance — re-testing pages whenever we ship significant changes. We expect this statement to evolve as the site does, in both directions: what we've improved and what limitations we find.

Formal accessibility complaints.

If you've raised an accessibility issue with us and aren't satisfied with how we responded, you have additional options under U.S. law, including filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. We'd rather hear about it first and fix it — but you have that route if you need it.
