Privacy
policy.
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it. Plain English version below the legal one.
The short version.
We collect the minimum we need to respond to your inquiry, do the work you've hired us to do, and run our business. We don't sell your information. We don't share it with marketing networks. We use standard, mainstream tools (email, analytics, form processing) and we treat the data they handle the way we'd treat our own clients' data.
If at any point you want to know what we have on file, change it, or have it deleted — email sales@dabconsulting.com and we'll take care of it.
The longer version.
Who we are
This site is operated by DAB Consulting, Inc. ("DAB Consulting," "we," "us," "our"). We provide IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical security, and systems integration consulting services. You can reach us at sales@dabconsulting.com or +1 800 695 5370.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly and a limited amount of information automatically when you visit this site.
Information you provide directly:
- Contact form submissions — your name, organization, email, phone, industry, areas of interest, message text, and timeline
- Email correspondence you send us
- Information shared during sales calls, scoping conversations, or engagement work
Information collected automatically:
- Basic web analytics — page views, referring URL, approximate location (city level), browser and device type, time on page
- Server logs — IP address, request timestamp, requested page — kept for security and troubleshooting
- Cookies set by our hosting platform (Flywheel) and any analytics tooling — see "Cookies" below
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and continue the conversation if there's a fit
- To deliver the consulting, support, and managed services you've engaged us for
- To send invoices and required business correspondence
- To improve the site — which pages are useful, which aren't, where things are broken
- To protect the site and its users from abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information
- We don't share contact-form submissions with third-party marketing networks
- We don't enroll you in marketing email lists without your consent
- We don't use your information to train AI models or share it for that purpose
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we use to operate the business, and only to the extent each provider needs to do its job. These include:
- Flywheel — managed WordPress hosting (site infrastructure, server logs)
- Our email provider — to send and receive correspondence with you
- Our form processor (Gravity Forms) — to receive and route contact form submissions
- Accounting / invoicing tools — to bill for services rendered to clients
- Analytics provider — aggregated and anonymized site usage data
We also disclose information when we're legally required to (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) and when necessary to protect our rights, the safety of our staff or clients, or to investigate fraud.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a small number of cookies. Most are functional — they keep the site working — and a few are analytical. We don't run advertising cookies and we don't allow third-party tracking pixels from ad networks.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some interactions may be slightly less polished.
Data retention
We keep contact form submissions and inquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after the last interaction unless you ask us to delete them sooner, or unless we're required to retain them longer for accounting, tax, or legal reasons. Active client engagement records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for legal, regulatory, and tax compliance.
Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you share with us. We also do this work for a living, so we take it seriously: TLS everywhere, MFA on accounts that touch client data, least-privilege access to systems, and regular review of who has access to what.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and any required authorities as required by applicable law.
Your choices
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Delete information we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep
- Stop using your information for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry or performing an active engagement
Email sales@dabconsulting.com with any of these requests. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and won't charge a fee for it.
Children's privacy
This site and our services are intended for businesses and adult professionals. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we've inadvertently received information from a minor, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change that affects how we handle your information, we'll make a more visible notice.
